Workshop on self-calibration and advanced imaging 11-13 December 2017 - Istituto di Radioastronomia Bologna, Italy

The Italian node of the European ALMA Regional Centre organizes a 2-days workshop on Self-calibration and advanced imaging, to be held at the INAF-Istituto di Radioastronomia (Bologna, Italy) on 11-13 December 2017. Lectures will be held by Ed Fomalont (NRAO/Chile), and Anita Richards (UK ARC Node).

The main purpose of this short workshop is to obtain a better understanding of the self-calibration and advanced imaging techniques, in particular on ALMA data. It will be a unique opportunity for the participants to familiarize themselves with these technique and to discuss about them in an informal way with experts in the field. During the hands-on sessions participants can possibly work on their own datasets, receiving help from the experts and discussing with the other participants. A "backup" dataset will be also made available. Participation is open to all members of nodes of the European ALMA Regional Centre and all interested people working at the Istituto di Radioastronomia.
