The Italian node of the European ALMA Regional Centre organizes a 2-days meeting dedicated to the members of the European ARC, on the subject of Self-calibration and advanced imaging, to be held at the INAF-Istituto di Radioastronomia (Bologna, Italy) on 11-13 Decembre 2017.

Lectures will be held by Ed Fomalont (NRAO/Chile), and Anita Richards (UK ARC Node).


The main purpose of this short workshop is to obtain a better understanding of the self-calibration and advanced imaging
techniques, in particular on ALMA data.
It will be a unique opportunity for the participants to familiarize themselves with these technique and to discuss about them  in an informal way with experts in the field.
During the hands-on sessions participants can possibly work on their own datasets, receiving help from the experts and discussing with the other participants. A "backup" dataset will be also made available.
Participation is open to all members of nodes of the European ALMA Regional Centre and all
interested people working at the Istituto di Radioastronomia.

Please indicate your interest to participate to the social dinner and whether you have any dietary requirements.

Tutorial & Videocon

The tutorial will be run on the local ARC cluster. Access details will be circulated to the participants before the meeting. A videocon session can be organized for a restricted number of participants for the school and the workshop sessions but not during the tutorial. Access details will be circulated to the participants in due course.
