In preparation to the ALMA Cycle 2 proposal submission deadline of December, the Italian node of the ARC is organizing an "ALMA proposal preparation day" to support the ALMA users to prepare their proposals.

This one-day meeting will be held at the INAF-Istituto di Radioastronomia on the 21st of November.

During this one-day meeting we'll present a tutorial on the ALMA Observing Tool and on proposal preparation. Participant will have significant amount of time to interact with the ARC staff to get support in preparing their own proposals for ALMA Cycle 2.

If requested by participants the activity could continue also on the following day.

Participants are invited to bring their own laptop to better participate to the interactive sessions and to directly work on proposal preparation. On request, few computers could be made available by the LOC.

Please notice that this activity is in addition to the usual "face-to-face" support that everybody can request at any time to the Italian ARC node via e-mail to help-desk@alma.inaf.it, or through the ALMA help-desk (register and access via the link "Helpdesk" on the ALMA Science Portal) .

== Registration ==

Please fill in the registration form. No registration fee is requested. Registration deadline is November 8th. Please indicate if you are planning to continue the activity of proposal preparation with the ARC staff support also on the 22nd of November.

Notice that participation is not restricted to people that plan to submit proposals to Cycle 2. However, in case you are going to submit a proposal, you can optionally indicate some details of use for dealing with the OT. For logistic reasons participation will be limited to 40 participants, on a "first come first serve" basis. For this reason, even if not forbidden, we discourage the participation of more than 3 people working on a single proposal.
